Our Services

Education

Education is one of the main pillars of Drony SIT and represents an area in which we have long been connecting schools, public administration, law enforcement agencies, and the professional field. Our goal is not merely to teach participants how to fly a drone or work with a specific technology. We strive to develop comprehensive professional knowledge, practical skills, and the ability to work in teams, and to prepare future experts for the real-world challenges that await them in their professional lives.

We are part of the Pilsen Innovation Ecosystem PINE, and we are training new generations of unmanned technology pilots in Pilsen.

Our educational activities are based on five interconnected pillars:

  • School lessons and professional internships – ranging from basic skills to specialized VIP internships.
  • Professional training for organizations – training for municipal organizations, publicly funded organizations, and other institutions tailored to their specific needs.
  • Cooperation with emergency response services – instructional and methodological sessions, professional training, and methodological exercises.
  • DroneSoccer – development of technical skills, teamwork, and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Development and innovation projects – involving students in real-world technology development and exploring new forms of technical education.

 

The first pillar is classroom lessons and internship experience. We have a long-standing partnership with secondary schools and universities, where we enable students to gain experience directly from specialists actively working in the field. At high schools specializing in industrial studies, we offer courses focused on the complete life cycle of unmanned systems. Students work with specialized drones from the Drony SIT fleet and learn about mission planning, equipment preparation, regulatory requirements, actual flight operations, equipment inspection, and subsequent data processing and analysis. The curriculum also covers the economic and operational aspects of professional drone services. In addition to standard professional internships, we also run a VIP internship program, through which we select talented students for paid internships involving direct participation in Drony SIT’s operations.

Another significant aspect of this field is our collaboration with the Air Navigation Services of the Czech Republic as part of the “Fly Responsibly” campaign, which promotes the safe and responsible operation of unmanned systems.

High School Classes

The second pillar is professional training for organizations and institutions. We develop specialized training programs tailored to the specific needs of individual organizations. For example, we train zoo staff on how to use drones to promote their facilities or to apply pesticides using agricultural unmanned aerial vehicles. We train water management organizations in the areas of inspection, monitoring, and documentation of technical infrastructure. We always focus on the participants mastering procedures that are applicable to their day-to-day work.

The third pillar is cooperation with emergency response units. We regularly participate in training sessions, methodological seminars, and professional meetings, where we share our experience with the use of unmanned systems during emergency response operations. At the same time, we develop our own training scenarios focused on the deployment of drones in crisis situations, area monitoring, and supporting the decision-making of operations commanders.

The fourth pillar is DroneSoccer, which we use as a unique tool for technical education. Participants learn not only to pilot drones, but also to assemble, repair, and modify their own aircraft. They gain comprehensive knowledge of the entire system, from design and electronics to operation. At the same time, they learn to react quickly to unexpected situations, make decisions under pressure, and collaborate effectively as a team. Teamwork, communication, and the skill of solving problems as a group are among the most important abilities that participants learn from DroneSoccer.

DroneSoccer

The fifth pillar consists of development and innovation projects aimed at supporting technical education. One example is the educational submarine project carried out in collaboration with the Pilsen Region. Together with a selected high school, we created a complete solution—from structural design through 3D modeling and printing, soldering, electronics, and programming, all the way to the assembly of a fully functional device. The project also included the creation of comprehensive documentation to facilitate its further development. The final solution was handed over to the Pilsen Region, which now makes it available to other high schools. These schools can further develop the project, adapt it to their own needs, and participate in expert competitions in the future.

In addition to educational projects for schools, we also develop our own hardware and software designed for training units of the integrated rescue system. The goal is to create realistic and safe environments for practicing situations that emergency responders may encounter in their work. Examples include simulators for hazardous substance leaks, such as gas or radiation. These devices are designed so that their appearance, controls, and behavior correspond as closely as possible to the real systems used in the field. Thanks to this, training participants can gain experience under conditions that closely resemble actual emergency responses. We believe in the principle “train hard, fight easy,” which is why we strive to create a training environment that allows us to safely simulate even the most demanding situations.

At the same time, we are building a modern training center that utilizes augmented and virtual reality (AR/VR) technologies. These technologies make it possible to create realistic scenarios of emergencies and crisis situations in which individual units can practice their procedures, communication, and decision-making. The virtual environment allows for repeated practice of various response scenarios without the need to organize large-scale and costly exercises in a real-world setting. Participants can thus gain experience and enhance their preparedness in an effective, safe, and modern way.

Současně budujeme moderní výcvikové centrum využívající technologie rozšířené a virtuální reality (AR/VR). Tyto technologie umožňují vytvářet realistické scénáře mimořádných událostí a krizových situací, ve kterých si mohou jednotlivé složky procvičit své postupy, komunikaci i rozhodování. Virtuální prostředí umožňuje opakované procvičování různých variant zásahu bez nutnosti organizovat rozsáhlá a finančně náročná cvičení v reálném prostředí. Účastníci tak mohou získávat zkušenosti a zvyšovat svou připravenost efektivním, bezpečným a moderním způsobem.

The common thread running through all of Drony SIT’s educational activities is an emphasis on up-to-date content, practicality, and a direct connection to the real world. Participants in our programs gain experience from experts who use these technologies themselves on a daily basis. As a result, we don’t just train future pilots or technicians—we help raise a new generation of experts capable of using modern technologies safely, effectively, and with a deep understanding of their capabilities.
